About Us

Justin started woodworking in 2002 when he was in middle school. He was lucky enough to learn under teachers and mentors who transferred their passion and workmanship to him. He was able to hone his woodworking skills throughout high school in crafting dressers, night stands, and guitar cases. While at college, his woodworking skills took a backseat to his Mechanical Engineering degree, except for a wooden surf board that he and his roommate built.

Fast forward to 2015, Justin and Lauren (who were dating at the time) built cornhole boards together on the floor of Justin's small bachelor pad in CT. It was a fun, simple project that sparked Justin's passion for woodworking again. Dating turned to engagement, and engagement turned to marriage and their first home. They started building furniture out of anything that they could find over the coming year - pallet wood, old wooden ladders, 2x4's, etc. A friend recommended that we look into Etsy, and the rest is history.

After finding out Lauren was pregnant with their first child, they built a crib, changing station, and floating book shelves for our daughter. When Rowan was born, they quickly realized they couldn't dedicate so much time to large/selective projects in addition to our full time jobs. They adjusted our mentality to creating smaller projects focusing on Weddings, Family, and Children themes.

We are so excited to explore these themes through woodworking "& designs", and to continue to share our passion with our customers!
